This morning's events included Steve Ballmer visiting the Best Buy store at 569 W 5th Avenue, the shopping mecca of the world.

Press and customers alike filled the area to catch a glimpse of Steve and watch as he spoke with one of the Windows Vista families about their experience with digital media and Windows Vista.  The machine he was using showed off some of the Dreamscene backgrounds, including one of a glacier that I can't wait to get.

People came from as far away as Australia for the Launch.

Steven Bink from Bink.nu couldn't go back to The Netherlands without a Zune!

And the stars of the show!

As I noted on the main page, I'm in New York City for the General Availability Launch of Windows Vista.

I wanted to share a few photos with those of you who may have wanted to attend or have an interest in what happened.

I've added them as thumbnails, so if you'd like to see a larger pic, just click on the photo to enlarge it.

After visiting the following, click the back button to return to this site.

And the SWAG was very nice, too!  Thank you, Microsoft!
