Motion Computing Adds Technology Veteran Ted Enloe to Board of Directors
In addition to his seat on Motion’s board, Enloe has been named the chairman of the audit committee of the board of directors. Enloe currently serves on the corporate boards at Leggett & Platt Inc. and Silicon Laboratories Inc., and is a board member and audit committee chairman for US Investigations Services Inc.
“Ted’s extensive knowledge in technology and finance brings deep experience to our board,” said Scott Eckert, Motion’s CEO. “As Motion continues to grow, Ted Enloe’s track record – having served on numerous corporate boards and worked with many notable organizations – will provide Motion with the guidance and background the company needs to continue to gain market share and be a leader in the industry.”
Enloe’s former positions include vice chairman of the board and member of the office of chief executive for Compaq Computer Corporation and president of Lomas Financial Corporation and Liberté Investors. Also, Enloe previously served on the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, and La Quinta Motor Inns Inc.
“Motion’s focus on developing relevant mobile technologies for specific vertical industries – healthcare, government and retail – is unique and interests me,” said Enloe. “The company’s growth and management team remind me of Compaq when I joined its board of directors as the first outside director.”
Enloe holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Louisiana Tech University (formerly Louisiana Polytechnic University) in Ruston, La., and a jurist doctorate, cum laude, from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
