As The Tablet PC has grown, so has our staff.  From a simple Web site devoted to showing readers what Tablet PCs are, we've grown to one of the most popular and complete Web sites devoted to Tablet PCs, news, software, accessories and anything else that enhances the overall Tablet PC experience. Our comparison charts are recommended by many readers as an excellent source of information for anyone shopping for a Tablet PC.

Not only are Tablet PCs more popular than ever, but Tablet PC manufacturers are also growing.  From a few models available at the Tablet PC Launch in November, 2002, there are now over 40 manufacturers with more joining the ranks all the time.  More and more software is being created and modified to use ink.  Expect to see even more.

The Tablet PC was created to offer information, resources and support for the different Tablet PC products available.  We hope you enjoy your visit! We'll help you find everything you want to know about Tablet PCs on one, easy-to-navigate Web site. We list every Tablet PC model with full specifications.  We're also proud to have one of the best Comparison Charts you'll find anywhere.

We hope you find a lot of information on products that will enhance your Tablet PC experience.  We're adding new products as they become available and hope you return often to check out the evolvement of the Tablet PC and related items.

In order to keep our information as non-biased as we can, we do not solicit advertising from manufacturers or vendors.

Thanks for visiting!

We'd love to hear of any experiences you've had with your Tablet PC as well as any tips you'd like to share with other readers.  Please let us know if you give your permission for publication as well.

The Tablet PC will continue to bring you the latest news, reviews and comparisons that we always have.  The Write PC is an additional site dedicated specifically to Ultra-Mobile PCs.

There have been several improvements with the second, third and now fourth generations of Tablet PCs. Tablet PC's longer battery life gives us more freedom to do what we need to do when we need to do it. We're free to take our computers into meetings and classrooms and to take notes the way that's most familiar, by writing.  Centrino technology has improved this so that more powerful processors can be used with little or no loss of battery life compared to lower powered CPUs.  Now, several Tablets offer dual core technology and at least one model offers Tablet functionality in a lightweight, notebook form.

Pioneer manufacturers are continuing to produce newer, full-featured models with widely varied configurations to match almost anyone's needs.  We're seeing Tablets in a clamshell models from both Panasonic and Fujitsu.

More and more manufacturers are joining the Tablet PC team to provide a greater selection as more software is being developed to work with ink.

Better wireless support allows us to log on to networks more easily than ever, with built in firewire and 802.11a/b or g. And all this convenience comes packaged in a 3 pound computer that's not much bigger than a paper tablet.

The Tablet PC frees us from our desktops.  We no longer need to balance a notebook on our knees as we struggle to pay attention and type at the same time.  Now, there are models that can be used in full sun as well.

Those who don't type have the option to use handwriting to enter data.  Others may prefer speech input, or a combination of both.  We're free to take our computers into meetings and classrooms and to take notes the way that's most familiar, by writing.
